The resumption of sexuality is an important fact for the vast majority of patients. Hip prosthesis is not at all a disadvantage and in many cases, by recovering joint amplitudes, it offers a real "renewal" to the patient.

So, when to resume sexual activity? Minimally invasive surgery and the use of a double mobility cup can allow a very rapid resumption of sexual activity, but it seems prudent to respect the healing time.

The skin heals in about 2 weeks and the post-operative peri-articular bruising will take about 4 weeks to disappear.
 So, if there are no contraindications, good logic and minimum comfort allow the first relations to begin between 2 and 4 weeks.

Can we afford everything ?

Good logic and comfort always recommend that you avoid extreme movements which can be painful and therefore have a negative effect on your libido.

By resigning yourself to a lying position and avoiding all extreme hip movements such as forced flexion, crossing or rotation.
