Ambulatory

You enter the Clinic's main entrance at 7:00 am in the morning to register and be taken care of by the nursing staff on duty.
You should dress casually and be easy to put on.
If necessary and if planned with Marion the secretary, you will be delivered equipment (English canes, post-operative shoes, support stockings).

You will be seen by the anaesthetist and Dr. Puch a few moments before the operation.

Before you leave, you will see Dr Jean Marc Puch.

His assistant, Delphine, will give you in an envelope with your name, your CRO (operative report), your CRH (hospitalisation report), your discharge orders specific to your operation and a post-operative appointment to see your surgeon.

Concerning the time of discharge, it can occur at any time depending on the type and schedule of surgery and at the latest can be done until 19:30.

You will have to leave accompanied and you will be under the responsibility of your companion.

If necessary, he will have to be able to bring you back to the clinic quickly.

An ambulance may be prescribed for you, depending on the case.

Exit orders and post-operative instructions will then be given to you.

According to your intervention, Dr Puch will tell you if you need English canes, home rehab.

Interventions eligible for outpatient surgery range from arthroscopy, material removal, knee ligamentoplasty and foot surgery.
Hip or knee prosthetic surgeries can also be performed on an outpatient basis, as appropriate.

Back home and in case of emergency, you can contact the Saint George Clinic's Emergency Department 24/7/7 on 04.92.26.77.77.
