This decision is taken in close collaboration with the surgeon after studying the disability and the various radiological examinations. (cf. necessary radiological check-up)
This decision requires at least 2 consultations to give the patient time to be well informed, to think things through and to ask the surgeon all the questions (cf. questionnaire) and particularly about the complications of this operation.
During the consultation, Doctor PUCH will have explained to the patient the course of his intervention and will decide on the possibility of a Quick Recovery Surgery (outpatient or 24h hospitalisation) (cf. Rapid or Improved Rehabilitation After Surgery RIRAS) or a more traditional surgery with a stay in a convalescent home. (see next)
This choice will be decided according to age, history, family environment and the importance of the surgical procedure to be carried out.
